Who makes 8D audio — and with what?
Most 8D audio today is made in a DAW with a stereo-panner automation or a binaural plug-in. That's a good route if you already own a DAW and want precise control. This page covers the quick route: load a finished file, choose a movement and export, with no installation and no project setup.
What this maker is good for
- Your own songs and beats — hear a mix in a more spacious version or make a headphone-only alternate release.
- Voice-overs, meditations and ASMR-style reads — a slow sweep gives voice recordings gentle movement.
- Sound design and short clips — try a rotation on a riser, ambience or effect before building it into a project.
- Sharing a "listen with headphones" demo — export, post it, and tell people to put headphones on.
What it is not
It is a one-source binaural mover. It will not separate vocals from instruments, move different instruments to different places, or replace proper spatial mixing. Everything in the file is mixed to one source and moved together.
Making 8D audio step by step
- Load the track. It is decoded locally.
- Press Preview 8D with headphones on. Adjust the sliders while it plays; the preview restarts with your new settings.
- Press Convert to 8D. The browser renders the whole file faster than real time on most devices.
- Play the result in the page, then download the WAV.
Not sure whether your headphones show the effect properly? Run the 8D audio test first.
Making 8D audio sound good
- Don't over-process. A slower speed with 15–25% reverb sounds better over a full song than a fast spin with a lot of reverb.
- Check the mono compatibility. The tool mixes to one source first, so very wide stereo effects in the original will be narrowed.
- Leave headroom. The export is normalised to −1 dBFS; lower it in your editor if you plan to master the file further.
FAQ
How do I make 8D audio?
Either automate a panner or binaural plug-in in a DAW, or use this page: load the track, choose a movement and speed, preview and export. The page does the HRTF positioning and reverb for you.
What do I need to make 8D audio?
Just a modern browser and a file. No account or software to install. To check the result you need headphones.
Can I make 8D audio for YouTube or TikTok?
Technically yes — export the WAV and upload it. Only do so with audio you own or have a licence for; making an 8D version of someone else's song does not change its copyright.
Can I move different instruments separately?
No. The tool treats the whole file as one sound source. To place instruments separately you would need stems and a DAW.
Are my files uploaded?
No. Your song is decoded, processed and exported entirely inside your browser. It is never sent to our servers, so there is no upload wait and nothing is stored.
Can I upload copyrighted songs?
The tool never uploads anything, so the file stays on your device. Converting a song you own for your own listening is a different matter from publishing the result. Posting an 8D version of someone else's music on YouTube, TikTok or Spotify can still be copyright infringement, so only share conversions of audio you have the rights to.
